There are many types of glass, so before you call for a replacement, make sure you know these key pieces of information:
Where is the glass, kitchen? bedroom? Near a door? (glass within 24″ of a doorway must be tempered safety glass)
What type of glass unit is it? Glass windows and doors consist of four prominent types: single pane, tempered, dual glaze, and laminated.
Single pane windows are one piece of glass, easily broken, and easily replaced. These are the units that can be replaced the same day you call.
