Some of our customers are interested in insulating their homes from noise and heat. There are several options to consider when upgrading the insulation levels of a home or business.
Thermal Insulation is best achieved by dual glaze unit’s utilizing low-e glass. Another technology to consider is Argon filled dual glaze, which offers an extra level of insulation. We also offer color tinted glass for residential and commercial applications, which can reduce fading and thermal transfer in areas with greater sun exposure.
Noise reduction is achieved using either dual glaze, laminated glass, or a combination of the two. Both technologies have benefits, and using both together is a very effective way to reduce sound transmission, but depending on the size of the window, all that glass can start to get heavy.
